Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:51 AM NST 24 January 2026 A low pressure system over Belle Isle Bank will continue to track
eastward to lie east of the district this afternoon. Strong to gale
force westerlies to southwesterlies south of the low will shift to
gale to storm force westerlies to northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Strait of Belle Isle and Northeast Gulf.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters.
