Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Friday low 984 mb located over Belle Isle Bank.
At 10:00 a.m. NDT today departing trough located east of the
Marine District.
At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Cabot Strait.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:54 AM NDT 26 March 2026 A low pressure system will approach the district from the west to
track northeastward across Gulf waters Friday morning. A trough
extending from the low will track east across the marine district.
Gale to storm force southeast to southwesterlies will develop over
western waters ahead of the system this afternoon then spread across
the district tonight. Winds will shift to strong to gale force west
to northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Coast, East Coast, Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Strait of
Belle Isle - western half and Northeast Gulf.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast
- Cape St. Francis and south, and the Grand Banks.
