At 3:00 a.m. ADT Friday trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Friday departing trough located from Newfoundland
to East Scotian Slope.
At 10:00 a.m. ADT today ridge located from Labrador to Laurentian
Fan.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight ridge located east of Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:48 AM ADT 26 March 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Great Lakes will move into the Gulf
of St Lawrence tonight and continue move eastward on Friday. Strong
to gale force south to southwest winds are forecast south of the
trough, while strong to gale force northwesterlies are forecast
behind the trough on Friday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Fundy, Grand Manan, Northumberland Strait,
Gulf-Magdalen - western half and Chaleur-Miscou.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait and all Gulf of St Lawrence waters.
