Wind variable 10 to 15 knots increasing to southeast 25 this afternoon and to east 35 this evening except west 15 to 20 over southern sections overnight. Wind becoming northeast 25 to 35 Wednesday morning then becoming north 25 Wednesday evening.

Showers this afternoon and this evening. Fog patches forming near noon and dissipating Wednesday evening.

Island Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today low 1005 mb located over Banquereau.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday low 1000 mb located over the southern
Grand Banks.


Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:43 AM NDT 26 May 2026 A low pressure system over Banquereau will slowly track eastward to
lie over the Southern Grand Banks tonight. Strong to gale force east
to southeasterlies ahead of the low will shift to northeasterlies in
its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, and the Southern Grand Banks.
