- Another cold front Sunday night but showers are not expected.

.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1214 PM CST Fri Dec 5 2025
Overcast conditions will persist through the area today into the
overnight hours. Very low chances for drizzle remain as moisture
remains in the lower levels and isentropic lift persists into this
afternoon. A warming trend will develop Saturday into the afternoon
Sunday before a cold front moves through. Winds will begin shifting
from the north during the day Sunday peaking around 5-10 kts for
inland areas, and 15-20 kts for coastal areas. Expect breezy
northerly winds behind the front Sunday night. Temperatures are
going to drop with lows in the 40s Sunday and Monday night and highs
in the mid 60s during the day Monday. Beginning Tuesday winds
will shift back to southeasterly flow and a warming trend will
develop again into the back half of the week.
The potential for both land and sea fog remains low. For marine
concerns winds remain south to southwest tonight into Sunday, which
is generally not conducive to sea fog scenario. SST are in the
upper 50s so we are reaching the time period where we will have
to keep an eye on this. Overland is more questionable especially
tomorrow night with light winds and sufficiently elevated dew
points, but at this time probabilities are fairly low.

.AVIATION...
(00Z TAFS)
Issued at 530 PM CST Fri Dec 5 2025
Mostly VFR conditions will prevail through the cycle at area
terminals, with the exception of a brief period between 09-14Z
Saturday when MVFR ceilings return to eastern sites. Otherwise,
expect cloudy skies and a light and variable breeze.
&&
.MARINE...
Issued at 1214 PM CST Fri Dec 5 2025
Winds are forecast to weaken to gentle to moderate heading into the
weekend, with the wind direction varying. A few showers will remain
possible today into Saturday. Dry conditions will then develop
later in the weekend as another frontal boundary moves through,
with these conditions continuing into next week. Winds are
forecast to strengthen to a strong to near gale breeze Sunday
night into Monday likely requiring another Advisory.
&&
.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 1214 PM CST Fri Dec 5 2025
Elevated fire weather conditions are not expected through the week.
Winds will remain light to moderate inland, predominately out of the
north to northeast. Minimum relative humidity will remain above 30%
daily through Saturday. Sunday`s relative humidity values will dip
below 30% due to a passing cold front, however due to low ERC and
winds, confidence is low for any elevated fire weather conditions.
Low rain chances continue today through Friday, with greatest
chances over the Coastal Bend and Victoria Crossroads.
